I’m a total fanboy for Tetsua Mizuguchi (水口哲也), the designer behind the brilliant games Rez, Lumines, and Meteos. All these games have simple fun gameplay combined with hypnogogic music and visual design. I’ve never played games with such powerful æsthetic appeal.

Currently I’m obsessed with Lumines on Xbox 360. I’m not usually a big puzzle game fan but the music and visual design is so beautiful I can’t stop playing. All the bonus packs get a bit expensive on XBLA, but art this good in a game is worth it.

I’m excited about the next game his company Q Entertainment is doing; Every Extend Extra Extreme. It’s an Xbox 360 adaption of a great freeware game concept.
