Throne of the Crescent Moon (The Crescent Moon Kingdoms, #1)

A fine two fisted fantasy tale. Particularly fun to have a setting inspired by the Caliphate instead of medieval Christian Europe, although that nuance is pretty gently done. And a fun narrative with good hijinks, interesting magic, etc. But something about the characters just really bugged me, I never felt particularly drawn into the people. Entertaining book, just not terrific.
