Old Man's War (Old Man's War, #1)

Very enjoyable read, a humanistic space opera. Just the right mix of good characters, believable sci-fi, and a fun story. Not quite sure what the book was trying to say exactly, if anything, but it's quite enjoyable simply as a good story. Scalzi's skill at characterization is quite strong, I like the people in his book.
