Ink and Bone (The Great Library, #1)

Very compelling, couldn't put it down. Really nicely written; interesting world, good characters. And well told, or rather shown. The book has a little too much of a Harry Potter vibe to it, but it goes to a much grimmer and more interesting place pretty quickly.
