Wool Omnibus

Totally fantastic. The first story is incredibly strong, it gets a bit to soap operaish towards the end. But it's a strong post-apocalyptic story considering the mass psychology of a post-near-extinction humanity. And it's fun to read something written as a cliffhanger serial. Hugely entertaining and not stupid.

Update re-read this in June 2023, after watching most of the first season of the TV show. Impressed with how entertaining the book still is, really a great page turner. I love the old serialized fiction form being employed so effectively. It should make a great TV show too but the adaptation is pretty rough, on the fence about that. Book is still great though.
