Woo what a fun book! This didn't quite blow me away as much as the first one. Maybe because I read the two back to back and the novelty wasn't there.. I felt the first half of the book kind of dragged, I was worried the author ran out of ideas. Then she shook everything up and the story goes in a great direction to a two-fisted conclusion. Good stuff.

It's a small thing but I appreciated in these books is a frank and honest assessment of teen sexuality. The first book doesn't really talk about it much but off-hand has the girls talking about their contraception strategies. Good for them! And I liked how in this book the two characters finally just have sex, just like young adults would, and it's just matter of fact and sweet and a little hot without being creepy/porny.

All in all a really solid book and of course now it has us all eagerly anticipating the conclusion of the trilogy.
