The Curse of Chalion

Well that was lovely. A good solid fantasy story, with a light romance. And best of all told from a really kind humanist perspective. I understood the characters and cared about them. Particularly the protagonist.

It's kind of a light book, I can't think of anything particularly subtle or complex to go into detail about. It's also an awful lot of pages. But well told and very satisfying as a novel.
