Seeing Voices

★★★★★Shelved May 22, 2019

Read this many years ago and appreciated the detailed view in to Deaf culture in America. Also just the basic respect for the people and the language; that's a minimal expectation but one so often not met. I distinctly remember the last chapter on the Deaf President Now movement and thinking how exciting that was. (Writing this review because ~20 years after reading the book I'm finally going to visit the Gallaudet campus. Yay!)

Goodreads readers give it 4.05★, from 6,369 ratings. I gave it 4★, −0.0, where I'm usually −0.9: I liked it more than most.
