Infinity Gate

Eh, I was entertained, a good page turner and a coherent story. It just fell really flat. The world building at the start is promising and the characters are well written. But things took a turn to the tedious when we got to the action plot, a young hero in peril fleeing the bad guy super soldiers. Not stupid but not the thoughtful scifi I was hoping for.
