Apparently I liked this, since I read it so fast and was entertained by every page. But goodness it seemed awfully fluffy in retrospect. It doesn't help that the central plot in the book ends up amounting to nothing although it is a good structure for the author to show us the workings of a fictional world. That and entertain us with some two-fisted tales of derring-do.

The interesting ideas are on the periphery. The two secret Quin factions. The factions in the universe that the Bobs have to contend with. That's remarkably complex but a bit underexplored.

Meh, lots of criticism. It's a fun read.
