Heartstopper: Volume 1-4

Read these quick after watching the TV show. What charming, wholesome stories. It makes me super happy as a middle aged gay guy to see stories like this told so forthrightly. It's written for a pretty young age set but I enjoyed it anyway as a fantasy and sweet story for people like me who never had stories like this about ourselves growing up.
The comics work really nicely and I wish I'd read them before the TV show. The writing is so very spare and the art is so light and whimsical. Really just sets a strong mood. The TV show is great too but it wasn't possible for me to read the first two books without picturing all the TV scenes and I think the graphic novel stands strongly on its own as a different thing.
