Death at La Fenice

Enjoyed this. Fun breezy read, with some clever writing. I gather this is a much-loved murder mystery series, partly for Venice and partly for the mysteries. I could see reading more, they are fun. I didn't love the actual murder mystery solution here, it was a little bit much and more clues early on would have been welcome. But really the genre is an excuse for the author to have fun painting a lot of characters. And Leon is great at that. I particularly liked Brett Lynch, compelling and hilariously over the top all at once. Good fun.
